The Story of Prophet Yahya
Wisdom that Allah granted while he was still just a child.
The Child a Prayer Made Possible
Yahya's very existence was a miracle before he ever spoke a word — born to Zakariya in old age, the living answer to a prayer his father had almost been afraid to make.
Wise Before His Time
What the Quran says next is remarkable: Allah gave Yahya wisdom while he was still a child (Surah Maryam 19:12-13) — not promised for later, but granted early, alongside compassion and a purity that shaped him from the very start.
A Son Who Never Turned Proud
Despite everything extraordinary about his birth and his gifts, Yahya never became arrogant. The Quran notes plainly that he was dutiful to his parents and never disobedient — humility that held even as his honor grew.
Peace on Three of His Days
Few figures in the Quran receive what Yahya does — peace from Allah named specifically for the day of his birth, the day of his death, and the day he is raised again (Surah Maryam 19:15).
Why This Story Still Matters
Yahya's story tells young people specifically: you don't have to wait until you're older to matter, to be wise, or to be close to Allah. Some of the deepest devotion in the Quran belonged to a child.
